Hello and welcome to another wonderful school year! I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Miss Abasolo and I will be the interventionalist teacher this year. I hope that you are just as excited as I am to get this wonderful year started! This will be my first year teaching in the Winthrop Harbor District, but my fourth year teaching all together. I feel priviledged to be part of such a great school and a great district!

As we work closely together this year, I am pleased to give you a little background about myself. I am originally from Waukegan. I went through the Waukegan school system -- Lyon Magnet, Thomas Jefferson, and Waukegan High. I loved my learning experience so much that I decided to become a teacher. I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2012 with a degree in Elementary Education. In addition to teaching at North Prairie, I spend much of my spare time reading, running, watching sports (Go White Sox, Blackhawks, and Illini!), and volunteering my time for various organizations.

I am truly looking forward to a year full of achievement, progress, and fun! As a teacher, I pride myself on pushing my students to succeed and put forth their very best efforts. Once again, I am very excited to begin working with each and every one of you and helping every student succeed!
