• Lang Hello! Welcome to a new school year!

For anyone whom I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Tracey Lang and I am the Behavior Interventionist at North Prairie. The 2017-2018 school year will be my 2nd year in Winthrop Harbor and my 11th year working in education. In 2009 I received my Masters degree from Northern Illinois University and continue my own progress as a life-long lerner.

Students attend school to obtain an education to prepare themselves to be productive, contributing members of society.  This happens not only with an academic education. The junior high years can be some of the most challenging years of a person's life. I believe it is highly important to enhance each of our student's social/emotional health and abilities as well as their academic abilities. Personally, I strive to build positive relationships with each and every student in the building. With me, they are given respect and know that Miss Lang is someone with whom they can turn to no matter what might be occurring in their life.

Just as your child knows (or will know) that I am here for them, it is important for parents to know that my door is open to you as well. Please feel free to contact me via email at Tlang@sta.whsd1.org or if there is a more urgent need to speak with me you may call North Prairie at 847-731-3095.

I look forward to another exciting year!
