Dear Winthrop Harbor Families and Community Members,

It has been my privilege and honor to be the principal at North Prairie for 7 years. I started in District #1 as a first grade teacher at Spring Bluff School 19 years ago. My passion for teaching, learning, and kids make my job the best in the world. I am very lucky to be able to work in a school district with amazing staff, parents, students and community members. As a ZBTHS graduate, I feel honored to be a part of this consortium. I am committed to working hard every day to make Winthrop Harbor the #1 District!

A little about myself: I am married and a mother of two boys, Jack (13) and Max (11). They keep me very busy with travel baseball and travel basketball. For fun, I enjoy reading and running (not at the same time). My current goal is to run a race in all 50 states - #run50... 15 down, 35 to go!

I am very excited for the first day of school when I get to welcome new and returning students to North Prairie. I hope they are excited as well. We will definitely have fun, but we will also work hard to achieve our goals. My goal is that we prepare our youngsters academically and social-emotionally to be productive members of society. I believe all of our students are capable of being on track for college and careers after high school.
